Practice makes perfect so... These are your Next Steps:
Students should look at their test in Canvas and try to figure out WHY they missed the questions that they missed. If they do not know why, they should go see their teacher after school.
Once students know why they missed the problems that they missed and know how to do all of the problems on the test they took in class, they should do the practice test in Canvas (it is at the bottom of the quizzes section) to practice more questions.
They do not have to do all of the problems on the practice test, just do the problems that they need to practice and submit to see if they got them correct. Repeat until they are getting the problems correct consistently.
Re-take the test any day your teacher is available after school.

Students that have trouble on tests usually have one or more of the following issues. If these things get cleaned up, students will start to show improvement very quickly.

Students that have missing assignments.
If students are not practicing they will fall behind.
We complete about half of the worksheets together in class. The solutions for the other half of the worksheet are posted in Canvas.
Answers to worksheets are also posted in Canvas.
Videos of the lectures are posted in Canvas.
Absent students are excused from the assignment so there is not any reason to have missing assignments.
Students that do not figure out why they missed quiz questions after the quiz was graded or do not ask questions when they are confused on a quiz question.
Missed quiz questions are the best way to learn from mistakes but it only works if the student looks back to see WHY the mistake was made.
Quizzes are the best time to get help if something is confusing. Students must ask for help if something that do not know how to do comes up.
Students that do not look at the practice test.
A practice test with the same question types is available at least 2 weeks before a test is going to be taken.
The practice test can be completed in part or whole as many times as necessary. Students should keep practicing until they are comfortable with everything on the test.
Students really need to take advantage of this. It is a really great resource.
